Chapter Philanthropy

Alpha Xi Delta proudly supports the world’s largest autism advocacy organization, Autism Speaks. Autism Speaks is dedicated to increasing awareness of autism spectrum disorders, funding research into the causes, prevention, and treatments for autism, and to advocating for the needs of individuals with autism and their families. Alpha Xi Delta chapters and alumnae across the country are committed to raising awareness in their communities and fundraising in support of Autism Speaks.

The Kappa Alpha Chapter is excited to bring Autism Speaks to the Kennesaw State University campus and show their support for Autism Speaks. Our chapters holds several events throughout the school year in which we raise money for children and families of autism. In the fall every year, we host Karaoke for a Cause. At this event, members of other organizations on campus as well as our own sisters pay to sing karaoke in order to raise money for Autism Speaks. In the spring, we Light it up Blue for Autism Awareness Month. Every spring, we also host Xi Man. Xi Man is a male pageant that lasts throughout the week and in the end, one man is crowned our Xi Man of the Year. Just this year here at Kennesaw State University, the Kappa Alpha Chapter was able to raise over $13,000 for Autism Speaks! Our sisters look forward to seeing what we are capable of this year! In just 11 years, Alpha Xi Delta has raised 11 million dollars in partnership with Autism Speaks.
